The Role

UK Home and Garden retailer looking for a B2B Sales & Business Development Manager to work in our Barcelona office. This role is a key member of the team, responsible for generating sales revenue through direct customer communication and proactive business development. The role focuses on managing inbound and outbound sales activity, developing trade and high-value customer relationships, and supporting company growth through repeat business and new B2B opportunities.

This is a challenging role which requires a high standard of communication, very strong technical expertise, creativity and the ability to forge strong relationships. The ideally candidate would come from a B2B or B2C sales. We are looking for the right person to support our business, who will grow with us and help us to achieve more.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as an account manager for assigned trade customers, acting as the primary point of contact, maintaining regular, pro-active contact and follow-ups to drive repeat orders and long-term relationships
  • Manage sales enquiries from trade and B2B customers via telephone, email, and online chat
    Convert enquiries into confirmed sales through structured follow-up and relationship-led selling
  • Achieve agreed monthly sales targets across new and existing trade accounts.
  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within managed accounts
  • Handle incoming sales calls professionally, providing product advice and guiding customers through the purchasing process
  • Ensure all inbound sales opportunities are responded to promptly and effectively
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activity and customer interactions in the CRM system
    Research and identify new B2B opportunities (e.g. garden centres, landscape designers, trade partners)
  • Proactively approach potential trade customers and present company products and services
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with trade and high-value customers
  • Grow repeat business and customer retention
  • Explore new business opportunities through market and customer analysis
  • Manage own customer relationships to minimise complaints, returns, and refunds
  • Stay informed of industry trends, competitor activity, and relevant trade events
  • Develop product knowledge to a high standard
  • Use downtime productively to analyse customers, competitors, and opportunities

Working Expectations

  • Full-time role requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Some evening and weekend work may be required
  • English is the primary language of business communication
